Milestone 1

The deadline for the first milestone comes at the end of Week 3.

By then your group will need to have a pretty definite plan for your project.

To get to that point, you need to do the following things:

1. View V-Lectures 2 – 4. (Don’t worry: these lectures are only a few minutes each!)
2. Read the relevant sections of Sealey (2010). At a minimum, this includes Units A1 – A5; preferably read B1 – B5 as well. If you like, you can also go on to look at Units C1 – C5. Consult the other resources available here to help you with this project: you can of course divide these among different members of the group and report back.
3. Meet the other members of your group – or liaise with them virtually – to produce your research project proposal. The important thing is that you co-operate to produce a workable plan which suits you all. Use your group blog to record your decisions, and use the general one to ask questions: of me or the other groups. This part of the module is all about collaboration!
4. Post your research project proposal, on your group blog. You must do this by the end of Week 3, but you can do it sooner if you like.

When you have received my feedback on your plan, you can move on to work towards Milestone 2.
